Sustainability

LEEDAt Evergreen Development and Construction, we believe building to LEED™ (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) standards represents a new way of thinking in the construction industry that is here to stay. It is a whole-building approach to sustainable design, incorporating the five areas of environment and human health: site, indoor air, water, energy, and materials.

Evergreen is proud to have most of its employees LEED Accredited through the U.S. Green Building Council. We are involved in building projects that are not only profitable, but also reflect responsibility to the environment and the community. We educate our clients on how implementing a sustainable approach can benefit their building’s construction and cost of operations and improve the quality of life of the people who will occupy it.

Members of both our design and build staff have receive education from the USGBC, which gives Evergreen the tools to impact a building’s performance throughout all phases of design, construction, and use.

We are proud to recognize the individual efforts of our employees who have instrumental in the formation of several USGBC chapters, and serving as chapter board members.

We have promoted sustainable development and green building since 2003, through the Community Greenhouse Foundation, and locally-focused internet portals GreenOrlando.com, GreenFtLauderdale.com and GreenBrevard.com.
